About me (the short version)
I'm Nora — 28 in real life, born in '96, hence the domain. I live in a small apartment in Minneapolis with my roommate Jules and a basil plant named Gerald that refuses to die.
Days are split between library shifts (mostly circulation desk, sometimes children's events), community college classes I'm taking too slowly, and the ordinary mess of being a person: laundry, texting my sister, forgetting why I walked into a room.
I wouldn't call myself a reader, a runner, or a tarot reader — but I do all three, inconsistently. I thrift on Saturdays, hand-write birthday cards, and retake personality quizzes when finals week approaches. I'm decent at crafts until step four of the tutorial.
Things I'm into (none exclusively)
| Work | Library assistant, Hennepin County system |
|---|---|
| Study | English lit, part-time — thesis someday, maybe |
| Media | TV dramas, podcasts while commuting, rewatching comfort shows |
| Hands-on | Card-making, mending clothes, cheap DIY decor |
| Movement | Running 2–3x a week when weather cooperates |
| Music | Learning guitar — stuck on C chord since 2024 |
| Oracle corner | Tarot on quiet Sundays; MBTI / Enneagram as procrastination |
| Shopping | Thrift stores, library book sales, Target candles |
Social feeds feel like performing. I wanted a page that could be messy — updated when I feel like it, weird in specific ways, not optimized for anyone's algorithm.
Neocities felt right: hand-coded, a little dated on purpose, neighborly.
